Back to the Drawing Board

I’m contemplating re-starting Concerta to get back on track with fully managing my ADHD symptoms. I feel like I have so much to do and accomplish but I’m holding my self back. How many have had that feeling? Having ADHD means that everything is at the same level- the next thing is just as important as the last thing.

I stopped taking concerta not too long after I started last year. People think that medicine is the end all be all but that is not true. I was on Vyvanse for a bit, it help me to focus on completing tasks, completing my thoughts and control my anger (with the help of a anti-depressant). But it also raised my blood pressure, caused insomnia and erased my appetite. The last side effect, lose of appetite, actually helped:-)

I haven’t been back to see my psychiatrist in 9 mos so I think I’m going to make an appointment today and start taking my Concerta in the meantime. We’ll see what happens!
